The holidays are a time of giving. Unfortunately, online crooks see people's generosity as an opportunity for scams. But there are plenty of things that you can do to help keep your holiday season fun and safe.

When you shop online, use these tips to make sure you're buying from a secure site. Think about using a third-party payment service when you can to make paying for things online a little safer and easier. And if you receive an e-mail request for a charitable donation, make sure it's from the charity that it claims to be before you contribute.
