Opportunity to Provide Feedback on Windows Media Center AQ Requirements for Windows Logo Program

In addition to the newly released requirements in the IMAGING DEVICES, PORTABLE DEVICES and NETMEDIA DEVICES categories, the requirements for the Windows Media Center AQ are now posted on LogoPoint. These requirements go would go in effect from June 1, 2009. Opportunity to provide feedback on these requirements for Windows Logo Program ends December 12, 2008.

Windows Logo Program requirements for Windows Media Center AQ recently posted on LogoPoint are:

NEW AQ Requirements
GRAPHICS-0077 WMC AQ Only: Display driver supports Standardized AES 128
NETMEDIA-0079 WMC AQ: Media Center Extender devices must pass the Media Center Extender certification tests
NETWORK-0290 WMC AQ: Ethernet device/driver must support HD media streaming requirements
NETWORK-0291 WMC AQ: A wireless home router or WLAN AP must meet HD media streaming requirements
NETWORK-0292 WMC AQ: A home router must meet HD media streaming requirement on the WAN port
NETWORK-0293 WMC AQ Only: A home router must meet HD media streaming requirement on the LAN ports
STORAGE-0025 WMC AQ: Blu-Ray players include application to extend Windows Media Center
STREAM-0061 WMC AQ: TV Tuners resume from all system states (S1-S4)
STREAM-0076 WMC AQ: Scheduled recording wakes up a Device from states S1-S4
STREAM-0089 WMC AQ: PBDA tuners meet Windows Media Center Customized product requirements
SYSFUND-0216 WMC AQ: PC Systems meet requirements for the Windows 7 Media Center Additional Qualification
SYSFUND-0217 WMC AQ: Windows 7 Remote Control and Receiver system fundamental specifications

STREAM-0060 WMC AQ: Digital TV Tuners requiring protected streams will use Protected Broadcast Driver Architecture (PBDA)
STREAM-0062 WMC AQ: TV Tuners must be able to scan for services multiple times
STREAM-0063 WMC AQ: ISDB-T Digital TV Tuners must support BML
STREAM-0067 WMC AQ: Digital TV Tuners support arrival and removal of Conditional Access Systems smartcards, if implemented
STREAM-0068 WMC AQ: Devices with multiple TV Tuners must support simultaneous use of all the tuner streams
STREAM-0071 WMC AQ: TV Tuner Devices support time-shifted playback within Windows Media Center
STREAM-0072 WMC AQ: Tuners support MSVidCtl to record programs
STREAM-0074 WMC AQ: TV Tuners complete First Run and play Live TV within Windows Media Center

INPUT-0007 IR Receiver/Transceiver interfaces with the Windows Media Center class driver
INPUT-0045 IR Receiver/Transceiver interfaces with the Windows Media Center class driver Windows 7 Logo

Expired
STREAM-0064 AQ requirement expired based on feedback. Expiration effective December 31, 2008.
