The STOP.THINK.CONNECT. campaign offers many tips to help people protect their computers and other electronic devices. Get Microsoft digital citizenship in action materials, including brochures, fact sheets, and tip cards to teach yourself or teach others about how to stay safer online. To help protect your computer, visit Windows Update to install the update and ensure that you have automatic updating turned on. Avoid tech support phone scams The FTC recently announced a major international crackdown on scammers who call you on the telephone, claim to be from Microsoft, and offer to fix your computer. These criminals can charge you for bogus services or gain access to your computer to install malicious software. Read the latest Microsoft Security Intelligence Report (SIR) Volume 12 of the SIR focuses on the third and fourth quarters of 2011. The report can increase your threat awareness to help you protect your organization, software, and people.  Protect your computer Scams relating to the recent Microsoft Security Advisory Microsoft released a security update for Internet Explorer last month. Get the real update, and learn how to avoid scammers looking to exploit such news.
