Protect yourself and your family Beware of "confirm your account" scams One common phishing scam asks you to confirm your user name and password to maintain an account. See an example of this type of scam and learn how to avoid it. Hang up on phone scams If you receive a phone call from someone who claims to be from Microsoft and says that your computer has a virus, hang up. Learn about this scam.
