The Microsoft Security Bulletin for August includes 13 security updates, including eight for the Windows operating system, two for the Microsoft .NET Framework, and one for the Windows Internet Explorer browser.

Microsoft offers $250,000 reward for information about Rustock botnet
The Rustock botnet has been inactive since Microsoft and its partners took it offline in March. Microsoft is offering a $250,000 reward to any person who provides information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of those responsible for Rustock.
