New Process for Driver Update Acceptable (DUA) Submissions for Multiple-Function Devices

Effective February 1, 2010, you can resubmit a passing CPK from a Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.5 test run along with updated INF files, and send the submission ID to logofb@microsoft.com. The logo program team will review and manually pass your submission. Single-function devices can continue to use the existing DUA process.

To Qualify for a Logo, Systems Must Use Devices and Drivers that Meet Current Logo Program Requirements

The transition from Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.4 to WLK 1.5 has raised questions about which kit a device or driver must pass in order for an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to use the device or driver in a system. To qualify a system for a logo, an OEM must use devices and drivers that meet the requirements in effect at the time the system is submitted for qualification. You can use a device or driver that was qualified with an older kit if the requirements for that device or driver category have not changed.

The systems kit reruns some critical tests from the device kits to validate changing requirements. For a complete list of tests in the systems kit, please consult the Driver Test Manager (DTM) Help file.
