Clarification on Windows System Integration Tests (WSIT) in WLK 1.3 WSIT tests are manual tests included in WLK 1.3. WSIT tests are used to improve the coverage for scenarios that are likely to produce different results when validated on diverse system hardware or may be impacted by OEM-preloaded software present on the system in test. We encourage all partners to run these tests with WLK 1.3. These tests will be eliminated from WLK 1.4 except for the following four tests - Responsive and Ready, FirewallCheck, DEP, and WLAN Device Compliance. DEP and FirewallCheck tests will be automated.
. Responsive and Ready - For systems with a docking station, this test ensures that resume from S3 works when docked and an external video source is present. . FirewallCheck - This test checks for any firewall by default. Microsoft requires that all systems ship with a firewall enabled. . DEP - This test checks that Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is enabled. . WLAN Device Compliance - This test ensures Wireless connectivity restores upon resume from S3.
