Sign up for other newsletters | Unsubscribe | Update your profile 2003 to 2007 Shared Tasks Tasks created in Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 are separate entities. Although you can connect Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 calendars and contact lists to Outlook 2003, using tasks in both programs means managing these tasks in different locations. With Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, you can connect Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 task lists to Outlook 2007 by clicking the Actions button on the SharePoint task list, and then clicking Connect to Outlook. After you're connected, you can manage your shared tasks alongside your other Outlook tasks. Shared tasks also appear in the new Outlook To-Do Bar, providing a summary view of the day's upcoming appointments and tasks. Move Things Around Quickly in Outlook You can move items from one place to another in Microsoft Office Outlook. The keyboard shortcut SHIFT+CTRL+V opens the Move Items window. For example, to convert an e-mail message into a task, press SHIFT+CTRL+V followed by T. This shortcut will save a lot of time scrolling through your folder list.
