NetMedia Moving from Streaming Media and Broadcast Group to Network Media Device Group on LogoPoint Requirements for all Networked Media Server, Renderers, and Controllers were previously published under the Streaming Media and Broadcast group on LogoPoint. Based on customer feedback and to facilitate easier discoverability, these requirements have now been moved to their own group called Networked Media Devices.
Windows Logo Kit Version 1.3 availability The Windows Logo Kit (WLK) version 1.3 will contain the preview tests for the Windows 7 device and system logo program. The final version of WLK 1.3 will be available around the same time that Windows 7 beta is released. There will not be a release of the WLK at WinHEC. The Windows 7 logo program for devices will begin at the Windows 7 RC milestone.
WDK Documentation Survey Summary The Windows Driver Kit (WDK) documentation team would like to thank each and every member of the community who participated in our annual survey. The great news is that over half the respondents who voiced an opinion thought that the WDK documentation had improved since they started writing Windows drivers. We were pleased to learn the following details about our audience: . Roughly half the respondents are non-native English speakers. . English-only documentation is preferred strongly over machine translation or human translation. ** . Respondents use the WDK documentation online and offline about equally. **NOTE: If you are interested in machine translation, check out http://translator.live.com As a result of this survey, we've identified the following areas for improvement: . More documentation on Kernel-Mode driver architecture. . Reference sections across all technologies. . Index enhancements in offline documentation.
