Shortly after the Cloud First policy was announced, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) process, which provides a standardized U.S. government approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services, was launched. This process allows federal agencies to migrate low and moderate impact workloads if the cloud provider meets the FedRAMP moderate requirements.
