Body-Worn Cameras for Law Enforcement: Short Videos offer Big Insights
Analytics, Safety, and Policy: Eric Breshears, Deputy Chief of Police for the Oakland Police Department (OPD), talks about how his department is using wearable cameras to improve both public and officer safety. With the help of Microsoft, OPD is building a system that will help them analyze terabytes of video data to better conduct investigations and identify areas of risk for officers. Microsoft's Justice and Public Safety Practice is also deploying an early warning system for OPD using advanced business intelligence to identify at risk officers.

Police Video Solutions in the Cloud: Law enforcement agencies across the country are recording and storing more video evidence than ever before. Microsoft and Vievu team up to offer affordable police video storage!
President Barack Obama recently announced that the administration has pledged $263 million in new federal funding for police training and body cameras, including $75 million allocated specifically for the purchase of 50,000 body-worn cameras for law enforcement officers across the country.
