Windows Logo Kit 1.5 QFE 003 Is Now Available on Connect

Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.5 QFE 003 has been released on the WLK Connect site (https://connect.microsoft.com/). This fix solves a problem where the test framework was overloading CPUs in certain cases. Most actual failures pertaining to the issue were with single-core CPU systems. However, if a system has more User-Mode Driver Framework (UMDF) drivers or user-mode applets offloading driver work than it has cores, this failure can occur on multi-core systems as well.

This fix resolves the CPU loading for all systems and should not adversely affect testing otherwise.

This fix solves the issue where the aforementioned devices end up with a (typically missing) problem code while running the system stress tests, including:

  • System - Common Scenario Stress With IO
  • System - Disable/Enable With IO
  • System - Sleep Stress With IO

This fix only solves problems where the device or drivers failed due to the CPU overloading, not due to other issues.
