From the Editor
The 2009 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC09) is the biggest annual gathering we hold. There's already been a lot of action at conferences this year. Some partners traveled in person, and others chose to get the scoop from blogs and tweets, including ours. But as Gold-Certified Partner Ian Gotts will tell you, one fact is inescapable: There is nothing like being there. The product announcements. The training sessions. The face-to-face meetings. The conversations with Microsoft executives and the inside track from product experts. In this economy, the networking opportunities can be invaluable. You know what's in line to launch at WPC this year, whether in beta, release candidate (RC), or the real thing. And you know, too, that we're likely to save our biggest announcements for our biggest conference, and to send our biggest players there to talk to you about them. Need more of a hint? Scroll through the WPC session previews. So if you're sorry you missed the action at any of our earlier 2009 gatherings, now is the time to pack your bags. And is there a town that's any more fun than New Orleans?
Attend WPC09 in person or online.
In a tight economy, business decision makers sometimes wonder if it's worth traveling to conferences. That's why we wanted to share some of the excitement that's being generated about the business value of WPC09. You don't have to take our word for it. You can join the conversations on Twitter and Facebook.

Microsoft VP Birger Steen welcomes you to WPC. Video: Building relationships at WPC.

In addition to the top Microsoft executives you'll have the chance to meet at WPC09, such as Steve Ballmer and Allison Watson, we're excited to announce that former GE CEO Jack Welch will be delivering the keynote address. And that Stephen M. R. Covey will deliver a speech as well, "Leading in Crisis."

At the conference, you'll also hear firsthand about how the Partner Program is evolving into the Microsoft Partner Network—to provide expanded opportunities for you.

Sign in to Digital WPC to register for and plan your WPC experience. You can also use WPC Connect to set up meetings with colleagues and Microsoft staff.
