program support

WLK 1.3 Beta Alias Retires - Connect-based WLK 1.4 Support Extended for Windows 7

We have had great success with the Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.3 beta alias (wlk13help@microsoft.com) and its Microsoft Connect Web form. Partners raised nearly 1,000 issues, many of which resulted in fixes that are now found in WLK 1.4. With the end of the Windows 7 beta, we are retiring the wlk13help alias. All existing feedback reported to the alias will be resolved and partners will be informed of the results.

For WLK 1.4, we are extending the Connect-based support found on the WLK Connect site (https://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=668) through June 30, 2009, as we start Windows 7 testing and submissions. We encourage you to explore the new rich documentation in the kit for self-help, but post your problems on the Connect site should you need additional help.

You can also request technical help for WLK 1.4 from Microsoft support by opening a normal support incident through your technical account manager (TAM) or through the online WLK support page (http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?prid=11880).

Effective July 9, 2009, All Submissions Must Use WLK 1.4

The Windows Logo Program would like to remind our partners that starting July 9, 2009, submissions to the Windows Quality Online Services (Winqual) Web site must use Windows Logo Kit (WLK) 1.4. Beginning July 9, 2009, partners will no longer be able to use WLK 1.2 or WLK 1.3.

You can download WLK 1.4 from Microsoft Connect (https://connect.microsoft.com/site/sitehome.aspx?SiteID=668).
