NetMedia Moving from Streaming Media and Broadcast Group to Network Media Device Group on LogoPoint

Requirements for all Networked Media Server, Renderers, and Controllers were previously published under the Streaming Media and Broadcast group on LogoPoint. Based on customer feedback and to facilitate easier discoverability, these requirements have now been moved to their own group called Networked Media Devices.

Windows Service Pack Testing Policy

Partners are required to test their logo submissions with the latest available service pack ninety days after it has been released. This is to ensure the maximum compatibility with the device driver and the Microsoft Windows Operating system. The following is a list of Microsoft Windows operating systems and the currently-supported service packs.

. Windows XP Service Pack 3
. Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2
. Windows Vista Service Pack 1
. Windows Server 2008 RTM

Reminder: WLAN Change in WLK Coming

The current Windows Logo Kit (WLK), version 1.2, supports wireless LAN (WLAN) testing by using a software-based access point that runs on both Atheros and Realtek WLAN NICs. The next version of the WLK will support testing WLAN drivers only by using the Atheros WLAN NICs. You will not be required to use the next kit for submissions until June 2009, but we wanted to provide early notice of this change to help your planning activities. If you have further questions, send us an e-mail at wlanndt@microsoft.com.
